Special Family Weekend

Special Family Weekend is a program of the Special Family Weekend Committee, a nonprofit group of parents. WCCP assists with organization, fundraising, publicity, and childcare for this yearly event. The weekend is for Maine families and their children with special needs and is held at the University of Maine at Machias every June. Families get away together to enjoy respite, education, and fun at a very low cost. Registration includes room and board, meals, use of UMM facilities as specified, workshops, parent meetings, childcare with skilled workers, and entertainment.

• Tulips (PDF file): "Tulips" may be printed out and sold for $1 each. All proceeds go directly to Special Family Weekend. "Tulips" are posted during SFW.
